About Matthew

Matthew Camlin is an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA), a spiritual director, a labyrinth facilitator, and an aspiring author.

More importantly, he is a husband and the father of three kids—two of whom are now young adults.

Matthew received his Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Christian Spirituality from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He was certified as a spiritual director by the Phoenix Center for Spiritual Direction after being apprenticed to Teresa Blythe and Greg Foraker, and is a member of Spiritual Directors International.

Matthew’s hobbies include reading, writing, binge-watching gripping TV with his wife, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with his kids. In addition, Matthew taught himself to crochet and has won “Best of Show” ribbons in several county fairs.

Matthew has previously published articles in The Presbyterian Outlook and Pittsburgh Theological Journal.
